We eat breakfast here several times a week. The omelets are great. But I think my favorite thing is the scali toast that comes with them. Scali seems to be unique to Watertown north of the river. It's sort of a cross between Italian and sour dough. Toasted perfectly. Liberally buttered.
The portions are huge. The waitresses know what we eat. The place feels like home. -

This is your perfect hangover spot. This place will hit the spot when you need something really greasy and not to sure how to feel after.
Prices are cheap and staff is nice. Old school type diner w a decent selection and something for everyone. It can be greasy but sometimes that's ok and needed.
Tucked away behind Watertown square across from cvs w plenty of metered parking.
You can certainly find worse in the area. -

MAGICAL!! the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were HUGE! The iced coffee, the chocolate chip pancakes and the BACON! Just so good. My "side" of bacon said 3 strips on the menu- I got a heap full! (Soooo NOT complaining haha) 100000% recommend this place.
And to the people who were a little skeeved out because of the cleanliness of the tables, I get it. It wasn't the cleanest, but then take your food to go because this food and the prices is what makes this place a Star 5 place! -

The tragedy of Tresca's coffee is that it's very very not bad. It is aggressively not bad coffee. It's not the gourmet stuff, infused with barista tears and carrying notes of chocolate and organic farts. It's just...coffee. People are so used dunkin' (that I drink daily) that they assume regular coffee lacking burnt, off, or moldy flavors is watery coffee. It's not GREAT, but it's not garbage, and it's ENDLESS you assholes.
Overall that's what you get here. Nothing fancy, just a cute and friendly diner for locals, that occasionally gets swamped, but will fill you up with very not bad coffee and breakfast. I'm always happy eating here. My only gripe is that I CAN believe it's not butter, the pancakes are great but the waffles are too pancakey, and I wish the "syrup" came from an actual tree but that stuff is liquid gold so I really can't complain considering how inexpensive it is to eat here.
That being said, I'm giving this place five stars because you can tell all the really bad reviews are from jerks you wouldn't want sitting next to you anyway. -

This is townie central. I was pleasantly surprised to have local news on the tv, not Fox. The portion size is huge.
The space is cramped, so when the older townies are there for their breakfast you're going to hear about their latest yarn. You are also going to have someone's butt in your face if you sit at the counter and the staff is talking to customers in the booth or cleaning a table. No one uses disposable gloves when dealing with food.
Glad I tried.
